Broadcast journalist Ted Failon probes if the Philippine National Police has been fair or bias in giving reward money to track down crime suspects in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (September 28).

The sensational murder case of advertising executive Kae Davantes last September 7 has riveted many people’s attention for days. The case generated attention from the media, the police, and the government that police authorities were able to arrest the suspects after the President increased the reward money for tipsters to P2 million from P500,000.

The move has elicited criticisms of social injustice because not all criminal cases enjoy the same kind of attention given to the Davantes’ case. How do the authorities decide in allocating reward money?

Ted will also look into the issue of non-compliance by some employers with the mandatory 13th month pay for employees and why the problem continues to exist.

Don’t miss the full report in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (September 28), 4:45 PM, after SOCO on ABS-CBN with a replay on ANC every Sunday, 2PM.
