I was surprised upon seeing Mariel Rodriguez on ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” as one of the ‘hurados’ for a constest. Her name also became a trending topic nationwide on Twitter.

Earlier this year, Mariel was rumored to be back on ABS-CBN as one of the returning hosts of “Pinoy Big Brother: All In” but it did not happen. A Kapuso turned Kapamilya, Mariel left ABS-CBN on September 2009 to join Willie Revillame on TV5. Mariel became non-visible on TV for a year when their show “Wowowillie” on TV5 went off air last year.
