TV5 remains true to its commitment to continuously find ways to cater to the changing taste of Pinoy viewers.

This is why, beginning this July 7, the Kapatid Network will be launching an exciting mix of program offerings that will spice up everyday TV viewing.

First up is the back-to-back opening of the all-new season of two of TV5’s flagship programs – “Face the People” and “Let’s Ask Pilipinas”.  Not only will these well-loved shows be enjoyed earlier in the day as they strengthen the network’s morning block, they both have new hosts who will definitely be loved by viewers for their natural charm, quick wit and smart insights.  For “Face the People” (airing at 10:15 a.m.), it will be seasoned host Edu Manzano who will be giving the male perspective on the issues at hand as he joins Gelli De Belen and Tintin Bersola-Babao in helping case subjects accept the much-needed “happy change” in their lives. For the season-opener this Monday, the controversial Meagan Aguilar will be seated at the iconic Silya de Konsensiya as she airs her grievances against her father, ‘King of Pinoy Folk Songs’ Ka Freddie Aguilar, and his wife ‘Bhabe’. The discussion reportedly led to a heated debate and a ‘walk-out’, which will be witnessed by viewers in the “Face the People” episode on Monday.

Right after “Face the People” is the much-awaited return of the only interactive game show of its kind in the country, “Let’s Ask Pilipinas” at 11:15 a.m. Multi-awarded singer-songwriter and host-actor Ogie Alcasid will now be leading the fun exchange of wild guesses and hilarious comments from contestants who play remotely via online video chat from the comfort of their homes. This new season, aside from the new host, the show also introduces the new segment ‘Let’s Ask Barangay’ which will delight people from all walks of life across the country as they get to be part of their favorite TV5 game show. Monday’s episode of “Let’s Ask Pilipinas” features OPM artists Jaya, Jireh Lim, Noel Cabangon and Pops Fernandez who will all be playing for the grand prize. Ogie’s Confessions of a Torpe co-stars Bayani Agbayani and Jojo Alejar will also be expressing their support for their friend’s newest game show.

In the evening, TV5 offers fresh viewing alternative with two Tagalized Koreanovelas airing back-to-back starting at 9:00 p.m. The first is the hit series “Bride of the Century” featuring Lee Hong Ki, the lead vocalist of popular South Korean band FT Island. In this fantasy-romance, he stars in his first Koreanovela lead role with one of the most loved actresses in South Korea, Yang Jin Sung, who plays a dual role in the series.

Right after “Bride of the Century” is the romantic comedy “Cool Guys, Hot Ramen” at 9:30 p.m. Starring Jung Il Woo and Lee Chung Ah, the series is a delightful story of how a narcissistic successor of the biggest food conglomerate in South Korea falls in love with an intern in their family-owned university.

July 7 is definitely the start of an exciting season for TV5 as it premieres these back-to-back Monday-to-Friday program offerings – starting with the new morning duo of “Face the People” at 10:15 a.m. and “Let’s Ask Pilipinas” at 11:15 a.m., and capping the evening with the compelling Korean series “Bride of the Century” at 9:00 p.m. and “Cool Guys, Hot Ramen” at 9:30 p.m.
