Since Comedy-concert Queeen Ai-Ai delas Alas is already on GMA Network, one of the first four projects lined-up for her is a morning talk show that could possibly rival her ex-BFF Kris Aquino on ABS-CBN.
Morning talk show is not new to Ai-Ai since she was given by ABS-CBN in 2009 a chance to have her show together with Ruffa Gutierrez in “Ruffa & Ai.” The show did not last long because of low ratings and preceded by “Boy & Kris.”
Ai-Ai and Kris’s broken friendship started around February of last year, which some say stemmed from Kris’ absence when Ai-Ai was mourning the loss of her mother last December 30, 2013. That time, Kris was in London, but it seems that Ai-Ai has closed her heart to their friendship since then and has remained mum about the issue.
The two reconciled a year after just before the wedding ceremony of celebrity couple last December 30, where Aquino was a principal sponsor and delas Alas was a secondary sponsor. Aquino said she anticipated crossing paths with delas Alas, with whom she had not spoken with for a year, and decided that it would be a good time to patch things up. Kris said she wanted the reconciliation to be extra special so she gave Ai Ai a necklace with Mama Mary Pendants. They are both Marian devotees. After their encounter at the wedding, Kris said Ai Ai sent her a text message, thanking her for the gift.
