It’s official – Wendell Ramos is now a Kapamilya actor.
At a press conference on August 6, 2015, the 36-year-old hunk announced he is now part of the prime time series “Pasion de Amor” where he plays the half brother of Arci Munoz, Coleen Garcia, and Ellen Adarna.
Despite the many offers he has received, Wendell said he choose ABS-CBN when his contract with TV5 ended last year.
“It’s an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to work again for ABS-CBN since I came from two different networks,” he revealed.
Wendell was speechless at first and couldn’t describe how excited he was with his new home, but he promised to do his best. He said it was never his intention to burn bridges with GMA 7 and TV5 when he left. He added GMA 7 is a good station, but ABS-CBN is on top of TV rankings and the Kapamilya network knows how to manage artists.
Way back in October 17, 2012, Wendell turned down an offer from ABS-CBN to be part of “Be Careful with My Heart” with Jodi Sta. Maria. At that time, he said he found the shows given to him by TV5 challenging and will only get involved with something different if it will have a big impact with fans.
We don’t know if Wendell will leave ABS-CBN in the future, but we wish him luck for now and hope he gets more projects.
