On the close door meeting held last week in Timog with some GMA Artists a secret has been revealed among them. The phenomenal AlDub Love Team has brought some artist of GMA Network to feel sulk to their network and perhaps they called it as “favoritism”.
According to our very reliable source, these GMA artists are friends with Alden Richards, they are happy with the actor’s success towards AlDub tandem, where Alden’s career has been boost up! While the careers of the majority stars are being ignored by the network, simply because GMA is focus on promoting AlDub almost everyday, they even make their noon time show “Eat Bulaga” every Saturday very special for Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
This is probably why GMA artists are transferring either to TV 5 or especially to ABS-CBN, because they believe that ABS-CBN has a fair judgement to all of their artists and they can handle very well the careers of actors and actresses.
One example of GMA’s favoritism start with Angel Locsin, when the management notice that the actress has great impact to the audience, she was given lots of projects. First is “Mulawin” with Richard Gutierrez followed by “Darna” in 2005. Next to the two previous prime time show, GMA Network gave Angel another role in 2006 for a fantasy-themed TV Series entitled “Majika” with Dennis Trillo.
This won’t stop GMA to push for Angel as one of their top artists, she was partnered with Robin Padilla in “Asian Treasures”; the first TV Philippine TV series shot in three different countries such as: Mongolia, Thailand and China. Until such time, Angel has decided to transferred to the rival network, the ABS-CBN.
GMA Network’s favoritism once again hit them when Marian Gracia Rivera or also publicly known as Marian Rivera became part of their artists. From 2005 up to 2014, Marian has given roles for almost 21 movies, 35 project shows consisting of prime time shows, noon time shows and comedy shows in the afternoon.
This is by far, is the highest level of GMA Network when it comes to their favorites, they have been handling stars according to its fame while others have remain behind-the-scenes or let us call them “Stars, wishing upon the stars”.
It is inevitable not to declare that GMA Network is indeed have their own favoritism that led some of their artists to feel ignored, sulk and might think to move to other network that will enhance further their skills, more projects and knows on how to never mismanage the talent of your artists.
