In a Facebook status post by the acclaimed singer and composer, Wency Cornejo, with a statement blasting Jovit Baldovino, about his evidently dismay, distressing of the latter’s discourteous act during an out-of-town event.
Written in Wency’s post, he was on a show in Labangal, General Santos city. He was saddened that there is such a performer in the likes Jovit Baldovino, who is disrespectful of musicians who are of seniors than him.
Although not as popular, but if the original composer and singer of a song is also on the same show, you should not forefront in singing a song of from its original composer.
And also from the same post, Wency tried to request Jovit to not sing the song, the latter did not accept Wency’s request and still proceeded on singing his original composition. In his insight, it just goes to show that it is very hard to teach humility, respect and class.

According to an article, they have tried reaching-out to Wency on the details of the post but has not yet replied for further explanations about the matter.
Looking back, Jovit is known to perform cover songs of Wency back in his “Pilipinas Got Talent” days until his professional career including Wency’s hits ‘Next In Line’, ‘Habang May Buhay’ at ‘Mangarap Ka’.
