The success of Eat Bulaga’s AlDub has reached new heights with both split screen lovers reaping the rewards of good TV exposure. Take the case of Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub, she is now being noticed by Shea Arender a Broadway producer and American song-writer.
Shea Arender is here in the country in search for a new Broadway star that will be featured in a comedy musical show. He even posted on his Facebook account his admiration for AlDub, Eat Bulaga and especially his interest in Yaya Dub.
Shea already watched dubmash videos of Maine Mendoza and from then on he got hooked on the idea on collaborating with her on a comedy musical that is inspired by the famous Kalyeserye on Eat Bulaga. He is also interested in acting alongside Maine.
He commented that watching the Kalyeserye clips make him laugh and hoping that he could do a musical based on Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye. He also said “I was looking for a new actress for my new comedy musical; I came across this beautiful and talented Filipina actress Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub on YouTube.”
Shea Arender scheduled a press conference and admitted that he does not understand what is being said on the Kalyeserye but very much admire the acting ability of Maine Mendoza especially when she makes funny faces. While visiting the country, Shea Arander wants to set up a meeting with Maine Mendoza to discuss possible projects with Maine’s manager.
Shea Arender is a multi-talented American songwriter, performer and a Broadway musical producer. He is well known for producing “The Wonderful Wizard of Song” wherein he is also a star performer. He then represented the Yellow Brick Productions last 2014 for the “Wonderful Wizard of Song” at the Tony Awards which celebrated the 75th anniversary of the “Wizard of Oz” soundtrack.
