Cristine Reyes and partner Ali reveal details of their upcoming wedding

Cristine Reyes has finally disclosed when she and her fiance Ali Khatibi will tie the knot, that will be on January 27, 2016, according to PEP.

They will be married in one of the country’s most prestigious destinations, Balesin Island in Quezon Province.

Balesin is where Senator Chiz Escudero and Heart Evangelista tie the knot  in February this year.

Now, it’s Cristine and Ali’s turn. But unlike the lavish Escudero-Evangelista nuptials, the engaged couple is opting for a simple, intimate, more private wedding. Cristine said that they will be inviting very few people to the ceremony. Her guest list will include her immediate family, of course, and a few chosen friends.

Cristine said they were supposed to be married in the backyard of their new house in Paranaque. But the house is not finished yet, so they chose Balesin instead, since Ali wanted a beach wedding in the first place.

Ali and Cristine became a couple in March, 2014 and had a love child on February 8 this year as Cristine gave birth to daughter Amarah.

In their guesting with Kris TV, Cristine pointed out how contrasting their personalities are. Ali is an extrovert while she is an introvert. Ali goes out with his friends a lot, while Cristine would rather stay at home after her work. Still, love conquers all, as they say, and both of them are mature enough to accept each other’s faults and flaws.

The engaged couple initially scheduled their wedding for the first week of December but their busy schedules just didn’t allow it.

Ali, a Filipino-Iranian mixed martial arts expert was occupied with his meetings and activities in his field. The same goes with Cristine, who is taping for her new teleserye for ABS-CBN.

Cristine will be reuniting with Zanjoe Marudo in a teleserye titled “Tubig at Langis”, which is directed by FM Reyes and which will be shown soon on the Kapamilya network.

After ironing out the conflicts in their schedules, the couple have finally set their wedding date for next year. With a very private wedding, don’t expect a lot of photos from the wedding coming out on media, though. Most likely, Cristine would share pictures on her IG account about this very important event in her life.
