GMA Network’s next big prime-time soap “That’s My Amboy!” will air its pilot episode on Monday, July 25, 2016 and this early fans are betting on Barbie Forteza and Andre Paras to make this soap as successful as the recently concluded prime afternoon drama “The Half Sisters” which they are also a big part of.
This time they will be seen on prime time.
At the helm of this project is Bb. Joyce Bernal. She is excited to work with Barbie Forteza again after seven long years when she first directed the young actress for the Pinoy adaptation of the famous Korean drama “Stairway to Heaven” where Barbie played the young Rhian Ramos. At that time, she saw Barbie as Judy Ann Santos.
In the GMA News Report of “That’s My Amboy!” press conference two days ago, Bernal admitted this again, to which Barbie quipped that it must have been because of her chubby cheeks.
On an earnest note, Barbie is proud of the fact that her “That’s My Amboy!” director thought highly of her even then, comparing her to Judy Anne whom she greatly admires and considers a good actress.
Barbie had the opportunity to meet the one and only Judy Anne when she guested at Eat Bulaga in 2011 when the latter visited her husband and one of the show’s hosts, Ryan Agonicllo. She immediately tweeted about their chance meeting.
