More than a month has passed since Direk Rich Ilustre was removed from GMA Network’s “Sunday PinaSaya” due to the controversial tweets he made about Maine Mendoza, Julie Ann San Jose, and Alden Richards which got some negative reactions from AlDub fans.
Rich apologized to the AlDub nation for the post he made last December 7, 2015 and admitted his mistake. He promised to be more careful with his post, according to Erwin Santiago on Pep.ph.
Meanwhile, Nitz Miralles reported in Phil Star Ngayon Online that Rich is back in “Sunday PinaSaya” alternating with Direk Louie Ignacio. The show is co-produced by APT Entertainment (the sister company of TAPE, Inc. who is behind the show “Eat Bulaga”) and GMA Network.
Rich’s Instagram account has remained private and all previous posts have been deleted. He has no Twitter account as of this writing, which is probably good considering what happened.
“Sunday PinaSaya” is an afternoon variety-comedy show broadcast by GMA Network, that premiered on August 9, 2015. We are happy with the return of Direk Rich to the show and we’re expecting a lot of good things to come. Marian Rivera is also said to be coming soon.
