“The Voice Kids” alumnus Darren Espanto is just one of the many singers out there with a longstanding whispered issue of his sexuality that came to national focus. For malicious people, it’s easy to speculate since many know Darren as a singer only, not his personal life.
He’s still a teenager and on the last step before becoming an adult and we believe he will develop more his skill, his attitude, anything. Let’s not judge him.
Blogger: If there’s any bash na nasabi sa iyo that you wnated to clarify it’s not true, ano ‘yun?
Darren: Marami pong nagsasabi na ‘Uy, bakla si Darren.’ Nakakatawa sila kasi I know who I am and alam kong hindi ako bakla. And it’s funny kasi they take the time to bash and kinda weird kasi when, I actually go to their feed, parang it’s not really, ‘yung comment nila, para ‘yun na sila.
Just because he can reach high notes, people will assume he’s gay? Who cares what they think? What matters is you continue to be you, so long as you’re happy with yourself. We think you should be who you are and not worry about what anyone thinks. You seem to know how you want to present yourself and are confident about it.
Nevermind the bashers. Just focus on your upcoming concert titled ‘D Total Experience’ on June 25 at the KIA Theatre. Those who supports you will surely enjoy the concert as you show them a more mature, more intense and more personal Darren Espanto.
What can you say about Darren‘s answer? Will this answer put this issue to silence? We hope so…
