Jhong Hilario plays the challenging role of a house husband who survives a beating that could’ve taken his life on the latest episode of ABS-CBN’s hit legal drama “Ipaglaban Mo” this Saturday (June 18).
Ruben (Jhong Hilario) is a selfless individual, a good father and a responsible citizen. Ruben worked as a taxi driver and once found himself helping a woman he did not know from being raped. The rapist even threatened Ruben for intervening and promised to get back at him and his family.
In fear of what could happen, Ruben had to stop working and was forced to stay at home as a house husband. Ruben’s neighbors, however, made matters worse as they continually ridiculed him for having to rely on his wife.
One day, Ruben was walking with his daughter when his neighbors suddenly blocked their path. Seeing that they were intoxicated, Ruben tried to avoid them but things turned bad as they suddenly beat him up with their fists and with foreign objects.
Will Ruben seek legal action or will he just let the incident go?
