Kapuso star Kris Bernal ended all speculations about her network transfer plans and opted to remain with GMA Network.
After being rumored to transfer networks, Kris Bernal has finally decided to stick with her home studio, GMA.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Bernal confirmed that she has already abandoned plans to transfer network and or change talent management. She also confirmed that she is set to sign a renewal contract with GMA Network to remain Kapuso.
“I am renewing with GMA, with same management,” she said.
Just before the new year, Bernal posted a cryptic message on her Instagram account about a “life-changing” decision which many speculated as her plans to leave GMA.
But Kris said she had prayed for it and decided to remain as Kapuso contract artist.
In the interview, Kris Bernal also revealed that she indeed talked to ABS-CBN for possible transfer. She also added that she also talked to different managers who could possible handle her career afterwards.
But after all the talks, Bernal said she realized that it’s still GMA Network who can maximize her potential as an artist. And that is the reason why she chose to stick with her home studio and remain as a loyal Kapuso.
“Hindi ako magsisinungaling, kasi totoo naman yun. Siyempre, in my ten years in the industry parang… I’m already 27, so nasa point na I can decide on my own. Naisip ko, what if subukan ko yung ibang kaya kong gawin para ma-maximize yung capabilities ko? Bakit hindi ko i-try? Pero kaya rin ako nag-stick sa GMA, it’s because naniniwala ako sa kanila. Yung kung ano mang potential meron ako, parang sila pa rin ang maglalabas nun sa akin.”

Bernal said she has yet to sign the renewal contract with GMA Network but she already signed a 3-year contract with GMA Artist Center who will handle her career. She also bared her upcoming project with the Kapuso network which would be a fantasy like drama.
