“Doble Kara” remained a nationwide hit until the very end as its thrilling finale last Friday (Feb 10) pulled in its highest national TV rating of 22.2%, according to data from Kantar Media.
The final episode, which saw twins Kara and Sara (Julia Montes) fighting for their family to remain intact, pulled in more viewers than its rival program on GMA, “Hahamakin Ang Lahat,” which only recorded 14.2%. It also received thousands of tweets as its official hashtag #DKPagtataposNaPalaban joined the list of trending topics on Twitter.
For more than a year, viewers tuned in to the touching story of twins Kara and Sara as the show shared lessons on love and sacrifice and showed the everyday joy and struggles of the Filipino family. “Doble Kara” also became the country’s most watched weekday afternoon series in 2016 and gave the title Daytime Drama Queen.
