Unsurprisingly, most of the netizens didn’t like her post and speculated that Mendiola was throwing shades to her fellow Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin who graced the cover of Mega Magazine with her short hair, too. But according to Mendiola’s fans, the post was just a coincidence and she didn’t mean to compete with Locsin.
It was not the first time Mendiola was speculated in throwing shades to Locsin. Last year, the former posted a photo of a wig in her Instagram account. The post was allegedly an indirect message for Locsin since her hair was damaged due to failed hair treatment.
Mendiola has been the center of criticism from Locsin’s fans and bandwagoners saying she’s a “sulutera” or “mang-aagaw” and other words that beyond our vocabulary. In conclusion, Mendiola might be doing this as her sweet revenge for netizens who keep on bashing her since she and Kapamilya host Luis Manzano admitted their relationship after his failed relationship with Locsin.
