Kapamilya host-actor Luis Manzano is not in a hurry to marry his girlfriend Jessy Mendiola.
The press got the chance to interview Luis on March 9 after his grand presscon at Sarsa Restaurant for his Century Chili Corned Tuna endorsement.
He said, “Our love story is very, very steady, but I’m not forgetting the fact she’s only 24.”
“And I’m turning 25 na rin… Hindi, I’m turning 36 this April 21st,” he joked.
The actor emphasized that he understands Jessy’s responsibility in her life.
“So, para sa akin, I completely understand the fact that she still has so many responsibilities for herself, for her family.
“And I will never take that away from her.”
He also added, “I respect her timetable, the same way she respects my timetable.
“But when she’s ready, I’m definitely right by her side.”
The 35-year-old stressed that he and Jessy both “definitely taking (their) time.”
He also revealed that Jessy and his mother, Vilma Santos-Recto, have smooth relationship towards one another.
Luis then admitted that he usually brings Jessy to their house in Batangas. He said, “Yes, in fact, two Sundays ago, we had dinner with the family.”
The host also said that his family really likes Jessy as his girlfriend.
“That’s how we want it, as casual, as organic, ‘yung totoo lang.
“So, kulitan, nagkukuwentuhan ng kalokohan. Ganu’n kami pag-nagsama-sama lang.”
Meanwhile, he and Jessy have been planning to go on vacation this summer.
However, he didn’t elaborate where will he take Jessy.
“We have one trip and we’re planning to go to… secret muna, secret muna.
“But definitely, we’re gonna hit the beach. That’s one,” he said.
A bonding time with his girlfriend is very important to Luis, since they are both busy with their showbiz career.
