At the grand press launch of her new album under Star Music, many have agreed when a press said that Jona Viray’s five-year projects on GMA were accomplished in less than a year after she transferred to ABS-CBN.
“Parang ‘yung 5 years mo sa kabila, parang ang nangyari lahat dito in less than a year,” one press said.
“You become even bigger,” a statement to which many have applauded.
Jona couldn’t help but to show her gratitude to the Kapamilya network for allowing her to use her talent in many platforms.
“Salamat po sa ABS, sa Star Music, sa pagtitiwala po nila sa talent ko,” she said.
Artist and Repertoire for Star Music Jonathan Manalo was asked about what did ABS-CBN see in Jona which GMA Records had overlooked.
“Actually, siguro po, pareho naman naming nakita ‘yung talent kay Jona dahil s’yempre first winner nila ‘yun sa ‘Pinoy Pop Superstar’ ‘di ba?” he responded.
He stressed that the Kapuso network also saw the talent of Jona.
“So definitely hindi naman nating pwedeng i-deny na nakita nang kabila ‘yung talent ni Jona.”
But he emphasized that Star Music utilizes Jona’s talent perfectly.
“Siguro, kung meron lang ako’ng masasabi na nagawa namin na hindi nila nagawa, na-utilize namin nang tama ‘yung talents ni Jona.”
Manalo also explained that Star Music put Jona to platforms where she would excel.
“Nilagay namin sa platform kung saan talagang mapapansin at magsa-shine pa s’ya nang hindi n’ya pa nagawa dati.
“Binigyan namin s’ya ng songs na magpi-fit sa kanya, at ginamit talaga sa mga platforms ng ABS para marinig ‘yung kanta at mag-hit.”
Meanwhile, Jona’s album is now available on your favorite music stores. It is also available digitally on iTunes and Spotify.
Jona also invited her fans to grab a copy of her album as the contents of it are different to her previous ones.
