- Renowned singer Christian Bautista admits feeling envious towards Mark Bautista
Is Christian Bautista feeling left-out by his contemporary fellow artists?
Most of the singers in his batch are taking down the international road. One example is his friend Mark Bautista who’s currently working in Seattle, Washington, for a play tackling the Marcos times.
Christian admits that he’s envious of Mark’s success right now.
“Merong konti kasi nakaka-international siya, pero with pride.
“First, he is my friend… I am proud of my friend kasi he’s doing things na none of us are doing.
“He’s performing for an American audience, he’s being reported in American newspapers.
“Who gets that? So maganda yung mga steps na ginagawa niya… Si Gerald din, ‘di ba?”
He’s referring to Gerald Santos who got in the cast of U.K.’s Miss Saigon as Thuy.
Still in the local scene
Christian is busy with Jennylyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva on their korean drama remake “My Love from the Star.”
He said that although he’s still in the local scene, he enjoys the company of our own artists.
“Talaga palang napakagaling niyang artista.
“To witness firsthand, parang in real life… kaharap mo ’tapos nakita mo siyang umiiyak, madadala ka talaga.
“Parang, ‘Wow!’ Dalang-dala ka, yung parang hindi ko kailangang umarte.
“Parang kailangang makinig lang ako sa kanya, kailangang tingnan ko lang siya, lalabas na ang emosyon ko.”
Christian talked about how fascinated he was with Jennylyn.
