President Duterte lambasted ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez in a different name.
President Rodrigo Duterte lashed out against media giant ABS-CBN anew.
In an expletive-laced speech Tuesday, September 26, at the 120th founding anniversary of the Department of Justice held at the Philippine International Convention Center, the President lambasted ABS-CBN again for allegedly not showing his campaign ads during the 2016 national elections despite paying for it.
ABS-CBN and its chairman have been a constant target of the President’s tongue lashing. But what’s interesting in his latest tirade is the mixed up of names.
During his speech, President Duterte mentioned: “Gabby Concepcion” referring to ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez.
“Sino naka-p— ina ninyong lahat. Ikaw? Gabby Concepcion, mukha kang pera, p— ina ka. Eh totoo man. Eh sus,” said the President.

But later on, the President corrected himself and referred to the correct ABS-CBN Chairman Gabby Lopez.
“Makinig ka, Gabby Lopez: Nag-place ako ng advertisement. Tinanggap ninyo ‘yung pera kong two million para kasi wala akong advertisement.”
“Tanggap nang tanggap kasi kayo ng pera in the name of greed,” Duterte added. “Tanggap ng pera tapos kung makasalita kayo – pati ’yung Inquirer – kaming mga… kung babuyin ninyo kaming mga taga-gobyerno, you picture us to be the corrupt o ano. Excuse me. Unfortunately, hindi ako ganoon. I would not have survived.”
Meanwhile, the name Gabby Concepcion immediately trended on Twitter with netizens poking fun on the president’s mix-up.
