Jerald answered if he’s ready to be compared with fellow comedian-actor Empoy
“The Write Moment” will tell a story about heartbreak and how one man coped with it through the power of words. Just in time for the fifth year of the QCinema Film Festival, The IdeaFirst Company releases another masterpiece in a form of romantic-comedy directed by young filmmaker Dominic Lim.
Starring “Super Ma’am” lead actor Jerald Napoles and his good friend in showbiz, actress Valeen Montenegro, a bittersweet and magical plot will be brought to life. The plot is fresh and very relatable to those millennials and even adults who are trying to move on from a great love that sadly ended. Written with wit and hugot, “The Write Moment” will tug heartstrings on the big screen.

During their BlogCon at Limbaga77 Restaurant earlier this week, both Jerald and Valeen are thankful to receive this exciting project. They confessed that their tapings were interactive as Direk “Doms” is easy to get along with.
“Collaborative, sobrang nag-enjoy ako. Para kaming nagwoworkshop on the set,” Valeen shared.
Jerald added, “It made us creative.”
Comparison with Empoy
Knowing that months ago, Viva Films made the blockbuster “Kita Kita,” the cast of TWM already equipped themselves to receive comparisons. Although the two have different stories, but both showed the defiance to the standard “leading man.”
Since Empoy showed impeccable performance on “Kita Kita,” Jerald was roasted if he feels any pressure about it.
“Sa tingin ko mas open ang mga tao kung sino mas makaka-relate sila. Kaya siguro may Empoy, ‘yung pinakita nya po kasi sa “Kita Kita,” talaga pong bagay po. Wala po akong maisip na pwedeng i-cast doon kundi siya,” he shared.
“Well, okay lang saakin. Fan din ako ni Empoy eh. Kung ano man ‘yung nangyari kay Empoy, deserve niya rin ‘yun. Alam namin kung ano kaya niyang gawin eh.”
Jerald kiddingly said that he now believes that “komedyante is the new pogi” because they are exactly what this worsening society needs today.
