In the press conference Meant To Beh, an official entry in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, Dawn Zulueta shared if Vic Sotto ever courted her when they were young.
“Ang daming nagtatanong niyan sa akin, ‘Hindi ka ba niligawan ni Vic Sotto?’ Nag-cross nga sa mind ko, ‘Bakit?’ Kasi lahat ng leading lady niya, nililigawan niya.’ Na-insecure ako. Hindi naman ako niligawan. Parang wala naman ata akong naramdaman.”
According to Vic, he never courted any of the three actresses that played as Faye in the series, “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko!” in the 80’s and 90’s.
“Wala naman akong niligawan dun. Nagsimula ako kay Alice Dixson, Tweetie de Leon, at finale ko, siyempre bigat—Dawn Zulueta. Biruan lang yun,”
Still single at the time, Vic and Dawn didn’t date or got involved with each other.
Dawn also added, “Oo, dalaga pa ako at I was starting to date Anton.”
Then Vic joked that he dated a lot of women back then. However, he also explained that he didn’t pursue all his leading ladies.
“Ako rin, marami akong ka-date noon. Hindi naman porke leading lady mo, pe-pursue mo. It takes more than that. Siguro at that time, busy na siya. Busy rin ako sa mga activities ko. Mga kemerut.”
Moreover, Vic still joked, “At that time, we were really not ‘meant to beh.’”
Although, Dawn did admit that she had a crush on Vic when she was young.
“Lumaki po ako na pinapanood ko po ay Eat Bulaga. Nung medyo bata pa ako, crush ko na talaga si Bossing. Mga 12 ako. Naging crush ko siya doon.”
