Fans had the rare opportunity to get to know this year’s Mr. Chinatown winner and newest Blackwater brand ambassador Jacob Muñez during his meet and greet at Metro Gaisano Mall, Market Market.
A former Medical Supply Sergeant, Jacob Muñez served in the US Army from 2010-2016 where he was honored with multiple awards such as Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal, to name a few.
“While in the US Army I was exposed to different cultures through my deployment in Korea, Kuwait and Iraq. I learned to adapt fast because we were abruptly sent to different places,” he shared. “I am now a confident and independent individual, and I would trace my growth and maturity as a person back to my time in the military.”
Apart from the discipline and skills he learned in the army, Jacob also has a fun side as seen during his meet and greet. The event included games where Blackwater and Ever Bilena shoppers challenged Mr. Chinatown to a friendly rock, paper, scissors game using a giant foam dice. Winners received special prizes while non-winners took home Blackwater products.
“I’m grateful to my Blackwater family for always helping me look well-groomed and polished, especially as I fulfill my duties as Mr. Chinatown,” said Munez. A man of honor, discipline and confidence, he truly embodies everything Blackwater stands for.
