For more than a year, Kapuso hit daytime drama “Ika-6 Na Utos” is a consistent top-rater. Actress-dancer Ryza Cenon has been a household name due to her kontrabida role, “Georgia.”
However, she is set to star in her first mainstream movie “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz” alongside Kapamilya actor JC Santos.
With Ryza being tagged as one of the best kontrabidas of GMA Network, this put a challenge for her to prove her appeal as a total actress in her upcoming movie. Undeniably, she has the potential to a leading lady status nevertheless her hit kontrabida role has already made a mark on the televiewers.
Ryza already starred on an indie film “Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B,” which also had its commercial release after competing in QCinema International Film Festival 2016. Technically, this upcoming movie with JC is considered as her first commercial film up to this date.
Ryza’s performance as Jewel, the ‘manananggal in the city,’ received positive feedback from critics and moviegoers. However, her upcoming film will tell if she is now ready to take more leading lady roles in the future.
