Maine Mendoza appeared with Alden Richards for the February 10, Saturday, opening number. Their fans rejoiced as they both participated as judges for the Music Hero: The Ultimate Vocal Battle Grand Finals.
This also became the first time they appeared together in the show after several months.
After Maine wrote and posted an open letter on her blog, she took a leave of absence from Eat Bulaga. However, Alden had been rushed to the hospital leading him to also take a leave of absence.
He came back last December to host the show but left again to celebrate Christmas with his family in Japan. Maine only returned to the show on January 1 for its New Year’s Day special.
In the press conference of Amnesia Love, Paolo Ballesteros also confirmed that Eat Bulaga has a plan for the love team. He also urged the fans to wait for whatever project Alden and Maine will have.
He recently publicized his advice for Phenomenal Star.
Paolo confessed that he understands why Maine feels that way in showbiz. He also added that the popularity which comes with the AlDub love team had changed her life.
“Parang lahat ng gawin niya, lahat ng tao, may masasabi. Okay lang na may masabi or ma-comment, kaya lang, ‘yung mga taong pumupuna sa kanya, kung baga, inuutusan na rin siya, dinidirekta na rin siya, so I guess, nakakapagood din ‘yung ganun.”
