- Regine Velasquez admitted she would want to visit ABS-CBN Corporation soon.
- She reminisced that during her time, she can go from one network to another.
- Regine also added that it would be a friendlier industry without a barrier.
During the press conference for the #paMORE concert, Regine Velasquez admitted that she wished she would be able to do a network crossover. The said concert will feature fellow Original Pilipino Music icons Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid and Erik Santos.
Regine also received a question whether Kapamilya viewers asked her to be in one of ABS-CBN Corporation’s show anytime soon.
Regine gave a meaningful answer to the said question. She also added that during her time, she can go from one network to another. She continued that there used to be no barriers between networks.
“That’s my dream na one day we’ll be able to crossover again. Kasi during my time, ‘di ba baling-baling lang kami. Pwede mag channel 2, pwede mag channel 7, pwede mag channel 13, channel 9. So ako dream ko ‘yun na one day, all these barriers mawala na kasi it’ll be good for the whole industry – for the music industry especially.”
Regine also added that it would be a friendlier industry without the said barrier.
“And of course, it will be wonderful for us artists being able to work with other artists that we don’t usually get to work with because we have this barrier. You know. So I hope one day mawala na ‘yun. It’ll be more friendly.”
Regine later continued to state that GMA Network will remain her home.
“Kasi accepted na ‘yun, my home for a long time now is GMA. Nandun naman na ‘yun. Pero pwede din naman ako magpaalam. Makakapagpaalam naman ako. So sana dumating ‘yun na pupwede na.”
The Asia’s Songbird husband, Ogie, signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN Corporation in 2017. Regine’s stepdaughter, Leila Alcasid is also signed with Star Music.
