Jerome Ponce and Elisse Joson work together in ABS-CBN’s primetime series The Good Son. They also didn’t make their past relationship a secret. Their relationship also became one of the biggest subjects of an episode in Pinoy Big Brother in 2016.
The two reunited for the hit primetime series The Good Son where Jerome played Enzo while Elisse portrayed Sabina. However, they have a third party in The Good Son as McCoy de Leon played Obet.
In Jerome’s case, he also remains professional with Elisse.
“Katulad naman ng sabi ko nung una, talagang trabaho ‘to, eh. Ibinigay, eh. Huwag nating sayangin dahil lang sa bagay na makakasira sa show. Dun ako magpo-focus.”
Jerome also added that he portrays a character. He explained that Enzo has feelings for Elisse’s character.
“Well, siguro sa akin, hindi sa dahil lulunukin ko na lang o ano… Si Enzo ‘to, hindi si Jerome. Wala akong dapat ilabas o ramdamin… Si Enzo ‘to, kailangan bilang character.”
In a separate report, Elisse shared that her relationship with Jerome changed since they started shooting for The Good Son. She doesn’t feel awkward anymore. She also felt as if nothing negative happened between the two of them.
“Actually, okay naman po. Hindi naman din awkward. Okay naman, even offcam. Atsaka pag nag-to-throw lines naman po kami, I think nakakapag-deliver naman po nang maayos. Nakakatuwa naman po na parang wala namang negative na kahit ano.”
Elisse also learned to separate personal from work and The Good Son helped them value professionalism.
“Pag nagtatrabaho naman po kami on set, ‘yung personal namin, parang wala, nakahiwalay. I guess doon din po namin natutunan kung paano ‘yun gawin as the show went on, kung paano ihiwalay ‘yung ma personal na nangyayari.”
