The Diamond Star is now back in showbiz work in the latest movie ‘My Two Mommies’ by Regal Films. It has already been two years since Maricel’s last movie titled “Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin” in 2016 by Viva Films.
Maricel also appeared last September 2017 on the small screen in one of ABS-CBN’s Maalala Mo Kaya episodes starring JC De Vera.
Roselle Monteverde confirmed that she will be working with Maricel Soriano on the Regal movie. Maricel will play the role of Tita Baby being Paolo Ballesteros’ aunt. Solenn Heausaff is also confirmed as one of the leading actresses in the recent film. Dianne Medina is also part of the cast.
Paolo also responded to Pep.ph’s recent query on Facebook saying, “Di pa kompleto cast. Di pa sure kung sino ung ika-cast na BF ko, hehehe. Si Ate Marya, kasama talaga sa cast. Tita namin siya ni Dianne Medina sa movie. Si Solenn Heussaff, mommy ng anak ko.”
Regal Films tweeted a group picture of Maricel Soriano together with Lily and Roselle Monteverde during their first day of shooting. This is Regal films way of showing appreciation to the Diamond Star being one of their most beloved actresses of all time.
The new film will be a kind of a homecoming movie for Maricel in Regal.
Eric Quizon will be directing the film which will play a huge role in Maricel’s return to showbiz.
