Sharon Cuneta dined with President Rodrigo Duterte on March 20, Tuesday. In the Facebook post of Special Assistant to the President Christopher Bong Go, President Rodrigo went on a dinner with Sharon and her camp.
However, President Rodrigo and Sharon has yet to announce the subject of the said meeting.
In Christopher’s Facebook post, he wrote:
“Dinner with PRRD and Sharon cuneta. Sarap ng sardinas.”
Sharon also posted a photo of her brother Chet and President Rodrigo. She added that her older brother has been in the happiest that she has ever seen.
“My beloved only brother with the exact same DNA as mine, Chet, @chetdc9 finally met his idol and hero tonight. My Daddy was a good friend of the President’s. Kuya and I always find ways to make each other happy. Tonight, I was not only happy and honored to have dinner with Pres. Duterte, but also to make my Kuya the happiest I’ve ever been able to make him.”
Sharon expressed her gratitude to the president. She continued to ask for blessings towards President Rodrigo.
“Hope you’re happy, Daddy! I love you so much, Kuya ko. And thank you, Mr. President. We pray that God’s hand be upon you so that you may steer our country where He knows it will be best! May God bless you, sir. (Miss you, Mayor Inday!)(Thanks so much for everything, @bernsrp Berna! Luv u!)”
Although Sharon received a lot of negative comments on her Instagram post, many supported her dinner with President Duterte.
Netizens who support both Sharon and President Rodrigo left a positive comment. One also expressed her love for the two.
“Solid Sharonian and Solid Duterte ako… Love u both…”
Another netizen continued that they loved that Sharon dined with the humble president.

One netizen also applauded Sharon for being there for both sides.

Another netizen pointed out that Sharon’s husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, spoke against the said president. The said netizen also added that former president Benigno Aquino, Jr. remains Kiko’s colleague in the Liberal Party.
