During the press launch of the Star Magic Circle 2018, Kapamilya actor Tony Labrusca was asked why he is not calling his biological father Boom Labrusca as “dad.”
The 22-year old actor explained that it is weird for him calling him “dad” after not growing up with him.
“Kasi, I think after years of not being with my biological fathers, people have to give it to me. I mean it’s weird to call him my “dad,” he said.
According to Tony, he first has to build a deeper relationship with his father.
“I think at first, we have to build a relationship which we have naman eh. My biological dad has taught me so much about showbiz,” he added.
Tony feels blessed to have a chance to reconnect with his biological father.
“People like drama. People think maybe there’s something between us. I really appreciate him being back in my life. So, it’s a blessing,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Tony’s career is starting to flourish after his successful stint on “La Luna Sangre.” Rumors suggest that he will be the leading man of Liza Soberano in much-awaited super-heroine film, “Darna.”
