Police recently arrested veteran actor Julio Diaz in a drug bust operation in Meycauayan, Bulacan on April 20, Friday. In a radio interview with DZMM, Julio admitted to his fault. He didn’t feel like drugs swallowed him up.
However, he asked for forgiveness for whatever he did wrong. Julio also revealed that he does not have a lawyer yet.
In the said interview with DZMM, Julio shared that in his understanding, he is not addicted to drugs.
“Ako ay nahuli sa isang bisyo. Sa aking pagkakaintindi maaaring gumamit ako pero hindi ito isang bisyo na nilamon ako…ng droga… Bahala na ang Diyos…Hindi ko na alam… Nagdadatingan yung demonyo ng tukso. Natukso talaga.”
Julio was arrested with Ronald Gomez alias Robin after selling a piece of plastic sachet containing suspected crystal meth or shabu worth Php 50 to an undercover policeman. The police seized four pieces of plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 12 grams and worth Php 60, 000 of drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.
Sr. Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. also listed Julio as a high-value target. The suspects and the evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for examination. Meanwhile, Julio and Ronald prepared for filing in court.
