Mariel Rodriguez has been away from the limelight for a long time due to her sensitive pregnancy conditions. Now, she’s back on ABS-CBN as host in the noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
Mariel is now a co-host of the noontime show. With that, her friend Bianca Gonzalez is more than happy to see her back in showbiz. Bianca posted a photo of them on Instagram with a caption, “I am so happy to be here LIVE for your first day back at work!! So proud of you, @marieltpadilla!! Love you!!”
“It’s Showtime” hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, and Amy Perez also gave a warm welcome for their new co-host.
Apparently, not all are happy to see Mariel onscreen. One netizen commented, “ngek, sa palagay mo sya ang magpapataas ng ratings ng its showtime.” This comment leads to a long conversation between the supporters and haters firing back at each other.
Bianca Gonzales just lets it slide until the basher called her friend “laos.” Then, she didn’t hesitate to fire back in a very positive manner.
It has been two years since Mariel took a leave of absence. She rushed herself to the hospital after experiencing an abdominal pain. The doctor said that her condition was fine, but she didn’t take the risk and decided to rest from work. She gave birth to Maria Isabella on November 14, 2016, her first child with Robin Padilla.
