“It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan” Season 2 finally has a champion and it wasn’t a high-pitched singer but a rough vocal, rockstar appeal – Janine Berdin!
Janine Berdin snatched the 2 Million Prize of “Tawag ng Tanghaland Season 2” last Saturday, June 2. She competed strongly by singing “Nosi Ba Lasi” by Sampaguita in the 1st Round and a Bamboo Songs Medley in the 2nd round.
Along with her who made it to the Top 3 are Ato of Mindanao and Steve Paysu, who got the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
Other than Janine’s mom, no one could be prouder than her Star Circle Quest Season 4 batchmate Kyline Alcantara. Kyline congratulated Janine on Instagram Stories as soon as she was declared the grand winner.
Janine and Kylie met in 2011 during the Star Circle Quest Season 4 where Clarence and Brenna were declared the Grand Questors. Janine went out of the limelight after the talent search while Kyline continued her acting career and recently appeared on top-rated series such as “Wildflower” on ABS-CBN and “Kambal Karibal” on GMA.
They last worked together in 2013 on the TV Series “Annaliza.”
