Senator Manny Pacquaio became the new WBA Welterweight Champion after winning the match against Argentinian boxer Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia last July 15, Sunday. Upon his return to the Philippines, the boxing champ visited ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime.
Senator Manny was looking for Vice Ganda but the comedian wasn’t present in the show that day.

Looking for Vice
Surveying the stage, Senator Manny started looking for Vice Ganda, one of It’s Showtime’s main attractions, adding that he had always wanted to meet Vice.
“May kulang kayo na gusto kong makita… Kulang kayo! Gusto kong makita at ma-meet.”

Senator Manny also pointed out that he and his wife, Jinkee, would watch It’s Showtime religiously everyday.
“Kasi, ako atsaka ‘yung asawa ko, si Jinkee, laging kaming nanunuod… araw-araw.”

Boxing VS talking to Ryan
Senator Manny gamely participated in the Korean show segment of It’s Showtime called Infinite Challenge. Kapamilya comedian-TV host Ryan Bang played a special role as the crew’s interpreter. He was supposed to translate the Korean lines for Senator Manny.
“Kasi sinama niya ako para mag-translate…”

It’s Showtime co-host Vhong Navarro asked Senator Manny if Ryan was of any help to him.
“May naitulong po ba si Ryan sa pagttranslate sa inyo pagpunta niyo ng Korea? May naitulong po ba siya? Naintindihan niyo po ba siya?”

Manny answered tersely, “Minsan.”
Jhong Hilario also asked which was harder: boxing or talking to Ryan.
“Ano pong mas mahirap, ang boxing o kausap si Ryan?”

Ryan boasted about his translator skills.
“Ang galing ko kaya mag-translate sa’yo, diba Senator?” to which Pacquiao retorted,“Magaling… Minsan sabihin ko sa kanya, ‘Englishin mo nalang…'”
