McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson’s love team is known by the moniker McLisse. They are rumored to be romantically involved in real life which began when they became Pinoy Big Brother housemates.
Speculations, however, started circulating on social media that the two have called it quits.
Blind item
A blind item surfaced on social media. In the said article, a love team’s project has been given the green light. The couple, however, already broke up. It is said that they cannot even look at each other when having a meeting or shooting their scenes.
It so happens that McCoy and Elisse are currently working on a movie which remains untitled. It is under the direction of I’m Drunk I Love You director, JP Habac. Thus, showbiz watchers jumped into conclusion that the two are the ones being referred to in the aforementioned blind item.
Elisse’s words
During a guesting in Magandang Buhay in March, Elisse spoke up about the current status of her “friendship” with McCoy. She shared that they are both learning to communicate with each other.
“Ngayon po we are learning to communicate to each other more. Parang may mga mahirap na pinagdadaanan pero kahit matagal ‘yung proseso, ngayon pa lang po namin natutunan na maging mature sa mga bagay-bagay, na may mga priorities and along the way we will be okay. ‘Yung communication sobrang importante.
“Sa akin kasi you will learn more about each other from hardships, struggles. Sa akin hindi mahirap because may humaharang. It’s more on the two people, nasa amin ‘yon. We have to learn how to overcome everything and I know it’s a process.”
Alleged break-up
Elisse’s words were misconstrued to mean that the break-up rumors were true.
“Siguro na-misinterpret lang nila ‘yung words ko. Pero ang sinabi ko lang naman na sa bawat team-up naman, relationship, hindi naman laging masaya, ‘di ba? Normal naman ‘yun, it’s nothing na hindi namin malalagpasan.”
McCoy echoed Elisse’s sentiments.
“Sa akin, sa bawat pagkakataon, dapat pinaplano lahat. Bawat isa sa atin may kanya-kanya tayong reason, pero wala naman sa amin. Nakakapagtrabaho naman kami nang maayos. Sa bawat shoot, maganda naman ‘yung flow.”
