The highly-anticipated environmental-themed pageant “Miss Earth” signed an exclusive contract with GMA making the Kapuso network their official TV Network.
GMA Executive Joey Abacan is more than happy with this agreement and excited with what’s in store for the GMA and Miss Earth partnership this year.
Abacan stated, “Matagal-tagal ko rin hinintay na ang Miss Earth is going to be with GMA and natutuwa ako because it’s another addition to the pageants that we are actually airing here in GMA.
“Welcome to GMA and hopefully this is going to be a very very big and very very good partnership.”
Lorraine Schuck of Carousel Productions, the owner and organization behind the prestigious Miss Earth pageant, also expressed excitement for this new partnership.
“First, I’m so excited that I’m Kapuso now, and plans, we’d like to work with GMA closely.
“I’ve always been welcoming suggestions, I’m open to any collaboration so isa lang naman ang aming target dito, it’s to make Miss Earth advocacy really known to the world.”
The Philippines’ representative for Miss Earth 2018 Silvia Celeste Cortesi is also excited with the collaboration.
“I’m the host, I’m so proud to represent the Philippines, and I will show them the hospitality of Filipino people, the warmth and friendliness.
“I hope they can enjoy the Philippines because it’s really fun and it’s a beautiful place.”
90 beautiful ladies from different countries will be competing for the Miss Earth 2018 crown. The event will happen on November 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
But wait there’s more! Brian McKnight will also arrive in the Philippines to perform in the pageant.
