GirlTrends member Sammie Rimando used to date Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde who is recently being linked to Kapuso star Maine Mendoza. In an interview with DJ Jhai Ho for Hotspot 2.0, Sammie admitted that she and Arjo already broke up.
Not a bad break-up.
When DJ Jhai Ho asked Sammie about her status with Arjo, she revealed that their relationship was already over.
“Okay naman po ‘yung breakup namin, hindi naman po bad breakup…”
Sammie noted that they both thought that breaking up was “for the better.” She added that she wanted to focus on her career and remained happy for him and his achievements.
“It’s for the better naman po. Napagdesisyunan na namin na sa ngayon, focus po muna ako sa career ko… Happy din ako para sa kanya na ang dami niyang projects. Siyempre, andoon pa rin po ‘yung full support ko sa kanya.”
Still on speaking terms.
Sammie revealed that she still communicates with Arjo sometimes.
“Siguro text-text… Hindi ko masabi… Hindi naman tuloy-tuloy… Kamustahan, ganoon.”

Arjo and Maine have been spotted together on numerous occasions starting October this year. They were spotted having dinner in Makati and going clubbing in Taguig. When asked about her take on the Maine-Arjo dating rumors, Sammie chose to keep her silence.
