Regine Velasquez-Alcasid kicked off her first day on ‘”ASAP” last week, on October 28 and her transfer to the Kapamilya network created some speculations regarding the show’s possible reformat.
Velasquez stressed that the possible reformatting of “ASAP” is not about her transfer to ABS-CBN.
Asia’s Songbird clarified this during her November 4 press conference for her upcoming concert series titled ‘Regine at the Movies.’ She is slated to hold her concert on November 17, 24, and 25, respectively at the New Frontier Theater. Piolo Pascual will be her guest for the first night, Sharon Cuneta will be the next to appear and Daniel Padilla will grace the last night.
Velasquez explained, “Nagkataon lang na dumating ako at sinabay nila sa pagdating ko.
“They’ve been thinking about it noon pa, last year pa. Kaya lang naghahanap sila siguro ng magandang panahon. Since I am coming, sinabay na nila.”
Regine then joked, “Yung ASAP magiging drama na.”
Turning serious, she said about being in the new “ASAP,” she said: “Challenging but also exciting. Sarah [Geronimo] will be there.
“Daniel Padilla, Piolo Pascual will be there. Everyone will still be there pero may main…
“Kaming dalawa ni Sarah, hindi naman kami nakikita performing together [in the past].”
