“Onanay” is a family drama on GMA Telebabad revolving around the story of Onay (Jo Berry), a woman born with Achondroplasia or bone growth disorder which impeded her growth. Because of this, she is often the subject of ridicule but she chooses to remain positive in life. She gave birth to two beautiful daughters – Maila and Natalie – who cannot be more different from one another.
Despite a tragedy and traumatizing events, Onay’s motherly love remains pure and unconditional, the way every mother is to her child.
Started airing on August 6, 2018, “Onanay” has received numerous extensions after winning on NUTAM TV Ratings (GMA Network’s trusted ratings provider) versus “Ngayon at Kailanman.”

But the game has changed.
“Ngayon at Kailanman,” a family drama series, has ended its run last week and was replaced by an action series, “The General’s Daughter,” back-to-back with top-rating series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
And since the competition changed from drama to action, is it safe to say that “Onanay” is turning into an action genre based on its latest trailer?
