Actor Teejay Marquez is making rounds in social media after his recent comeback television show on ABS-CBN Network and for the very first time, he starred in the real-life show ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya.’ Before leaving the country, he stated that he is very hopeful and open to more projects here in the Philippines.
He said, “Step by step, ito na first project ko, MMK. So sana maging susi po ito and masundan ng iba pang project lalo na po teleserye. Nakaka-miss din po na mag-share ng talent sa kapwa ko Filipino. Sa movies naman po, meron na rin pong naka-line up na dito sa Pilipinas.”

Teejay Marquez is an actor, dancer, television personality, and commercial model, he is currently under the management of the Kapamilya Network and also works as an actor in Indonesia. His first break in Indonesia was when he was cast to play the role of Sean, the counterpart of Ken Zhu in the original ‘Meteor Garden.’ The show aired for a year and became a big hit.
Coming back to the Philippines, the rising star is still busy doing shoots with Bench after his successful MMK show. He will eventually be going back to Indonesia to continue his career, however he stated that if he is given more projects here he may stay.
“I’m back sa Pilipinas. Sa ngayon, I’m busy doing shoots with Bench tapos kakatapos ko lang gumawa ng first MMK ko. Happy at kinakabahan kasi syempre MMK yun, eh. Soon I’m about to go back again this March sa Indonesia for a project but if maging ok sa plan yung project here sa Pilipinas, baka magkaroon ng changes.”
Teejay also gave an update on his successful ‘Meteor Garden’ remake in Indonesia. He said, “Yup it’s already done. Super successful 1 year din kami nag-air at grabe ang pagtanggap sa’min sa Indonesia, nakakataba po ng puso.”

The ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’s’ story was about Bernadette who’s born with dark, rough skin, bulging eyes, and a facial deformity. Her mother, Jona, believes it is a curse on their family but will still try her best to accept the child. Due to her mother’s hesitation to accept her, Bernadette will feel unloved, and try to seek affection from other people. Until one day, she gets pregnant but will be left hanging by the man whom she thought had truly loved her.
