On March 12, Tuesday, ABS-CBN Film outfit Star Cinema officially announced that the GMA Network actor Alden Richards will be paired with the ABS-CBN actress Kathryn Bernardo in a romantic-drama film, under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina.
The full details of the project is yet to be announced, but according to Molina, it’s an OFW film which is set to be released sometime this year.
Both Bernardo and Richards are identified with their respective popular loveteams. Kathryn is with Daniel Padilla, also known as KathNiel and the film project that featured them was ‘The Hows Of Us’ and had a gross a total of P915 million as of February 2019.

Alden on the other hand, had a movie with Maine Mendoza in 2016 via ‘Imagine You and Me’ and earned a total gross of P120 million.

For the first time the two stars met each other along with the director and the Star Cinema managing director, Olivia Lamasan.
According to Alden, it is a great honor to be part of the project and to work with Kathryn and to be directed by Molina-Garcia. During his interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News, he said, “It’s a great honor and experience kasi I’m really in that stage of exploring the craft and my capability as an actor.”
According to him, he accepted the project because it’s an opportunity for him to work with the blockbuster director Molina-Garcia.
“To be directed by someone who made that film (One More Chance), sobrang fan po kasi ko nung John Lloyd (Cruz) and Bea (Alonzo), parang total package na po, wala na po akong hihilingin, sobrang saya ko po na nabigyan ako ng chance,” he stressed.
