- According to NUTAM, GMA Network sustained its TV ratings lead in Urban Luzon with ‘Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’ (KMJS) topped nationwide for the month of April
- The data released was only recorded in Urban Luzon, just a portion of the nationwide ratings
- Meanwhile, ABS-CBN continues to win in TV ratings according to Kantar Media
GMA Network sustained its TV ratings lead in Urban Luzon for the month of April according to NUTAM TV ratings. According to GMA Network, “For the month of April, GMA Network maintained its TV ratings lead in Urban Luzon, which accounts for 72 percent of all urban TV viewers in the country.”
The news magazine show ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ (KMJS) once again topped the list of the most viewed programs nationwide for the month of April followed by ‘Sahaya,’ ‘Magpakailanman,’ ‘Daddy’s Gurl,’ ‘Kara Mia,’ ‘Pepito Manaloto,’ ’24 Oras,’ and ‘TODA One I Love.’

According to the latest data from ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, GMA Network posted 36.6 percent average total audience share in Urban Luzon, outscoring ABS-CBN’s 31.1 percent in April (with April 21 to 30 based on overnight data).
On a per day basis, the Kapuso Network got 30.5 percent audience share in the morning block against their rival network’s 26.8 percent.
In the afternoon block, GMA Network got 36.4 percent audience share against the 31.4 percent of ABS-CBN.
The evening block of GMA Network was successful with 39.3 percent over ABS-CBN’s 32.7 percent.
Unfortunately, the network failed to give the data taken from Visayas, Mindanao, Rural Luzon, and the whole Philippines, releasing just a portion of the nationwide ratings. This possibly means that GMA Network’s shows only dominated in Urban Luzon and not over the whole country.
Through the years, GMA Network has proudly announced their lead in NUTAM (selected urban areas nationwide) and for now, they only released data for Urban Luzon.
In September 2016, GMA Network also experienced the same situation where ‘24 Oras’ spearheaded their audience share of 40.4% against the 33.4 percent of ABS-CBN and 6.3 percent of TV5, but only in the Urban Luzon area based on AGB Nielsen.
For the last few days, ABS-CBN shows have been winning over almost all of GMA Network’s shows.

According to NUTAM People Ratings on April 29, 2019 (Monday), the ABS-CBN shows outpaced most of their rivals.
