GMA Network breaks new grounds. It has penetrated the Indian television market.
GMA Network one of the Philippines biggest networks created history after four of its most popular dramas were sold in India, the world’s second most populous country.
The Network through its content distribution subsidiary GMA Worldwide, Inc. (GWI) has cornered a deal with India’s MX Player and GagaOOLala, two of the country’s most premium OTT platform.
MX Player is owned by Times Internet, the digital media division of Times Group, India’s largest media conglomerate while GagaOOLala is owned by Taipei-based distribution company Portico Media which entered the Indian market in 2018 after its decriminalization of homosexuality.
Starting August 2019 MX Player is set to broadcast Meant To Be and Juan Happy Love Story.

Meant To Be is a romance comedy about four guys of different racial and cultural backgrounds who fell in love with the same girl. It stars Barbie Forteza alongside Ken Chan, Addy Raj, Ivan Dorschner and Jak Roberto. Juan Happy Love Story on the other hand, is a sexy romance comedy starring Heart Evangelista and Dennis Trillo. It tells the story of Juan and Happy, a man and a woman who are worlds apart in their views about life and love but found themselves in a whirlwind romance.
Meanwhile, GagaOOLala is set to stream LGBTQ-themed GMA dramas My Husband’s Lover and The Rich Man’s Daughter starting June.

My Husband’s Lover tells the story of a woman who belatedly discovered that her husband has an affair with another man. It starred real couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez with Dennis Trillo.
The Rich Man’s Daughter on the other hand, it starred Rhian Ramos and Glaiza de Castro. It tells the story of an heiress to a rich Chinese family whose life and beliefs changed when she fell in love with another woman.
