Minute To Win It host Luis Manzano is facing criticisms from netizens for his “bitter” reaction to Angel Locsin’s engagement.
A short clip of his interview is making rounds on different social media platforms.
In the video, the host-actor was asked for a reaction to Angel’s engagement with Neil Arce.
The Kapamilya actor refused to comment, instead, he dismissed the question. ” ‘Wag n’yo na akong idamay sa kuwento niya. Hindi kailangan ang opinyon ko diyan or pangalan ko diyan. Wala akong kinalaman sa kuwento.”
But, on July 11, one Twitter user claimed that Luis was being bitter about the fact that his ex-girlfriend was already engaged.
This post was already been deleted from Twitter but the netizens who saw it jumped on it and started criticizing the actor.

Luis clarified what he said in the video but his bashers kept coming after him anyway.
On Twitter he wrote, “Ang sabi ko ‘wag na’ (hindi niya) kami idamay sa kwento o love story nila 🙂 ang kwento nila ay sa kanila, ang amin ay amin 😉 kaya wag na kami idamay ng ibang fans or press sa love story ng ibang tao ;)”
In another tweet, he added, “Or i may have said “wag niyo na’ ng mabilis kaya ganun tunog but ayan malinaw na what i said and meant ha ;)” However, netizens didn’t buy his explanation and continued to basht the actor-host.
“Uulitin ko lang, one for the road, last na 😉 i meant “wag niyo na” baka mabilis pagkakasabi ko kaya ganun labas 😉 ang love story nila ay kanila 😉 di na kelangan ng opinyon namin :), ” Luis added.
Some netizens defended Luis against the rants of his bashers and requested others to respect the actor.
Some believe that Luis was only being himself and answered the interviewer truthfully, though he delivered his thoughts in a less eloquently than usual.

It was on June 29 when news about Angel Locsin’s engagement to her boyfriend turned fiance Neil Arce spread on social media.
Angel and Neil both shared this precious moment on their respective Instagram accounts. Many of their celebrity friends were happy for the couple.
Luis and Angel were in an on and off relationship. They dated in 2007 before breaking it off after two years. In 2014, the two got back together however, they broke up in 2016. Rumors said that it was Luis who called it quits with Angel. A third-party was reportedly involved which the actor denied.
Why netizens seem affected by his response is puzzling. In the first place, Luis shouldn’t have been asked about the matter since he’s already an ex and he’s not in the position to give any reaction, whether he’s happy or not.
While his comments themselves did not offer a commentary on the engagement and clearly expressed his desire to distance himself from the matter, his detractors decided to put color to his statement as him being bitter about the whole affair.
