When asked what was running in her mind during the time when she came back to ABS-CBN, this is what she says: “Exactly that. I’m home, I’m home. The home I never wanted to leave.”
She also shared her experience during her contract signing with TV5.
She told DJ Jhai, “Remember when I left, punipirma ako sa kabila [TV5], hiyang-hiya ako sa kanila. Kasi walang tigil na tumutulo yung luha ko.
“Yung in-offer naman sa’kin, kinikita ko naman yun. In a few years kinikita mo,” she added pertaining to the 1 billion talent fee that was reportedly offered to her by TV5.

She then clarified that it was not the money that made her turn her back on the Kapamilya Network, but a “misunderstanding” that she chose not to divulge.
She said, “Meron siyempreng maninira sa ‘yo [at] sasabihin ‘ah pera yan kaya niya pinatulan.’ It wasn’t that. Nagtampo ako. Alam nila tita Cory (Vidanes) yan.”
Cory Vidanes is the current Chief Operating Officer of broadcast for ABS-CBN.
Despite the misunderstanding, the actress admitted that she “really didn’t want to leave.”
During her stay with TV5, Cuneta shared that she found new friends, but she was like “a fish out of water” being away from her home network ABS-CBN.
The Megastar recalled the time when she returned to the Kapamilya Network. She happily shared how she was warmly welcomed and even compared herself to a mother who went abroad and finally returned back home to her children.
