Coming from the success of ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye‘ which broke box office records and became the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, avid fans are not happy with the outcome of Alden Richards’ latest teleserye ‘The Gift.‘
Alden was recently proclaimed as Asia’s Multimedia Star by GMA Network during his latest show’s launch.
Alden Richards’ The Gift‘ aired its pilot episode on September 16, 2019, on GMA Telebabad. The pilot episode showed Sep (Alden Richards) saving his adoptive mother Strawberry (Jo Berry) from a commotion in the Divisoria market. Then after he succeeded in saving his nanay from the chaos, a gunman suddenly shot him in the head and then the back story started.

Despite trending on Twitter, The Gift got a disappointing TV rating of 15.7% while its rival series ‘The General’s Daughter‘ enjoyed a TV rating of 32.2%.
Meanwhile, NUTAM shows The Gift getting only 9.5% on its pilot episode while its rival show The General’s Daughter is enjoying high ratings at 13.4%.
‘The General’s Daughter‘ is down to its last two weeks. It is expected to be replaced by ‘Starla’ topbilled by Judy Ann Santos.
