Kapamilya actor and singer Iñigo Pascual is sorry for what happened to his relationship with Maris Racal.
On Magandang Buhay, the Inigo apologized to his former love team partner for breaking her heart.
“I’m just really grateful honestly for whatever we have and I want to say sorry. I mean we went through a lot together and I could never say [anything] bad about Maris no matter what happened. …I always say handa siyang ibigay lahat and I just couldn’t do the same and that made me sad as well. It also made me heartbroken as well,” Inigo said.
Inigo added that he just couldn’t give his all for their relationship.
“We talked about it maturely. I could never say anything bad about Maris. To be honest, about the whole thing that happened, she’s ready to give everything, her all. It’s just sad that it had to be the situation that it was. I could say if I were to love somebody I would give my all and it’s just sad that I couldn’t do that. I was heartbroken. That was the situation that we had and I felt bad as well,” Pascual explained.
Meanwhile, Maris welcomed Pascual’s apology and maintained that she’s happy for Inigo and his decision.
“Nakakatuwa po dahil nag-sorry na siya talaga. Nakita ko rin na hirap din siyang magbigay sa relationship. Mas okay ‘yung choice niya, ‘yung career na pinili niya. Kasi hindi ba dream mo ‘yon na maging international singer, makilala as a singer sa buong mundo and I’m very happy na pinili mo ‘yon actually. Walang bitterness,” Racal said.
Inigo and Maris first met when the former visited the Pinoy Big Brother house during Maris’ stint as a housemate in 2014.
In 2017, the two admitted that they were exclusively dating but no confirmation of a relationship yet. During their guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice, it was revealed that they called each other Mama Me ang Papa Pe. Maris also composed a song for Inigo titled “Ikaw Lang Sapat Na” which was officially released as a single in 2018.
It was in May 2018 that they became a couple.
