Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards has set social media abuzz after voicing out his admiration for Lisa Manoban, a member of the famous Kpop girl group BLACKPINK.
It was last Wednesday, October 9, when the actor posted his photo on Instagram showing himself looking off in the distance.
He then tagged Lisa on his post which wrote: “‘Yung tinitingnan mo lang siya sa malayo.”

Prior to this, Alden has been vocal about his admiration for the singer as well as Korean culture in general. He is also planning to spend Christmas with his family in Korea.
“Wow ang galing! Wow ang cute! Ang ganda niya!
“Wala na! Hanggang na-hook na ako kay Lisa,” Alden said in a recent interview of 24 Oras.

However, many netizens became infuriated with the actor after he admitted his admiration for Lisa. They accused him of being a “clout chaser” as they claimed that Alden is just using the Thai performer to gain the attention of the public.
In the midst of this, Alden gained support from Lisa’s Pinoy fans, defending him from his bashers online. Though they denied that they are fans of the actor, the fans believed that he is not a “clout chaser” since he is already famous in the country.
They also questioned why Pia Wurtzbach didn’t receive the same accusations when she said that she liked Lisa more than her fellow member Jennie Kim. In defense of the actor, fans then concluded that Alden and Pia’s admiration for Lisa is not different at all.
