Kapuso magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho reached another milestone as it recorded its all-time high ratings for its Halloween episode ‘Gabi Ng Lagim.’
Last Sunday, October 27, 2019, KMJS recorded its highest ratings for Gabi Ng Lagim since its inception in 2013.
Gabi Ng Lagim is KMJS series of horror stories slated every Halloween season. This years’ edition registered a rating of 16.8%, its highest ever based on AGB NUTAM People survey.
In a tweet on Monday, October 28, KMJS thanked all its viewers for this monumental event.

This year’s Gabi Ng Lagim series featured four stories; Sundo, Koleksyon, Flying Ataul, and Museo.
Aside from record-high ratings, social media especially Twitter was also taken by storm by this latest KMJS episode.
Netizens were up in arms in tweeting their reactions making #KMJSGabiNgLagimVII top Twitter trending topic not only in the Philippines but worldwide.

Meanwhile, Gabi Ng Lagim’s record-breaking feat is another addition to KMJS’s numerous successes this year.
Last August, the magazine show also recorded its all-time high ratings since its premier in 2004.

KMJS recorded 18.3% in August 4 based on AGB NUTAM People survey, their highest since February 10 where it recorded a ratings of 17.3%.
And these record-breaking feats is what keeps them doing their best but at the same time giving them so much pressure to do more, according to Jessica.
“Nakaka-pressure din kasi parang, ‘Naku! Kasama na tayo du’n sa pop culture na tinatawag.’ So it means lagi kaming dapat updated. Minsan ‘pag may mga bagong words for example, ini-incorporate namin sa mga script namin kasi it makes us more conscious na they are really watching. So we have to use these words na ginagamit din nila. Because it’s a way to better connect to them.”
“Hindi ko masabi. Kasi every week it’s a struggle to look for stories. We will take it as it counts.”
“Pag ratings lang kasi, madali ‘yun eh, ‘di ba? You just shock them. Kailangan balansehin mo rin with other stories na kapupulutan nila talaga ng aral. Hindi lang ikatutuwa, hindi lang ikasasaya, hindi lang para to move them, sometimes to shock them and to anger them. Kailangan meron din silang makuhang leksyon. So we like to balance the stories and the episodes. Importante ‘yon.”
