- Dionne Monsanto wants to work on a teleserye again.
Character actress Dionne Monsanto admitted that she misses doing teleseryes.
In 2016, Monsanto made a name for herself for her breakthrough performance in the Kapamilya afternoon teleserye Tubig At Langis.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Monsanto shared her willingness to go back to acting in a teleserye. She’s hoping to be back doing TV dramas next year.
“I miss doing TV also. I’m available next year. Kasi ngayon November na, December medyo busy spending time with my family. So sana teleserye next year,” she said.
“Ang hirap kasi with the schedule, ‘yun ang palagi kong tinatanong. I just need the schedule can you give me like the exact months kung kailan natin gagawin ito,” Dionne added.
Dionne meanwhile recalled how she affected viewers with her effective portrayal of her character Madame Lucy.
“I’ve experienced so many times na kinukurot ako sa mall, minumura ako sa mall, natapik na ako, ‘yung mga ganyan. Ngayon it’s much better pero people still think that I’m maldita in real life,” she narrated.
Monsanto was last seen in ABS-CBN’s action-drama teleserye The General’s Daughter.
Prior to her stint in The General’s Daughter, Dionne appeared in GMA Network’s ‘Tadhana’ and GMA News TV’s ‘Wagas.
Dionne started her career in 2002 via ABS-CBN Cebu’s ‘For Life Presents.
In 2007, she became one of the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Season 2.
After that. she was cast in different Kapamilya shows which included Super Inggo, George and Cecil, Precious Heart’s Romances, Minsang Lang Kita Iibigin, Maria La Del Barrio, Nasaan Ka Elisa?, The Legal Wife, Pure Love, Flordeliza, Pasion De Amor, You’re My Home, and her biggest break, Tubig at Langis.
